B10 companion unit for Fully automatic Testing according to IEC555-2/3, IEC1000-3-2/3, EN61000-3-2/3
B10-SB is an optional unit specifically designed to complement B10, the Boconsult well-known real Flicker and Harmonics Analyzer. B10-SB (Switch-Box) is a B10 driven "Switching Unit" that can be combined with a programmable and compliant AC-source in order to build a fully automatic test for IEC1000-3-2 and IEC1000-3-3 measurements.
Under B10 control B10-SB automatically handles all actions required to switch from Harmonics to measurements and vice-versa. When starting a Flicker evaluation session B10-SB automatically inserts externally connected Reference Impedance in the measurement circuit; when running Harmonics sessions turn, B10-SB automatically inserts the proper shunt along the current path, according with the IEC1000-3-3 standard configuration set-up. During a Harmonics measurement session B10-SB automatically selects out of four-input current ranges. This is to avoid any manual operation and connection error.
A bi-standard Schuko-Italian 16A socket is available on the front panel in order to provide quick plug-in connection for the EUT B10-SB is entirely and directly controlled by B10 through the "Control" connector (with a 9 pole flat cable).
The picture shows a fully automatic test system built around B10-SB and driven by a PC "B10Win" advanced Windows® based software package supplied with B10, provides external AC-source "control through IEEE-488 interface thus supporting also automatic issuing of measurements commands sequences.
