B9-DSP 3-channels UIE-IEC868 Fully Digital Flickermeter
Meets also the IEC1000-3-3 requirements for Voltage Fluctuations
Delivery with Certificate of Calibration released by a WECC accredited laboratory

B9-DSP is a second generation IEC868/IEC1000-4-15 Digital Flickermeter. It provides both flicker and voltage fluctuation measurements on three input channels. The input stages are fully auto-ranging in the range of 40÷504 Vrms. Its dual processor architecture and its high resolution over-sampling 18 bits A/D converter grant high accuracy, repeatability and flexibility for both in-field and laboratory applications.
Flicker produced by fluctuating harmonics is correctly measured. Power fails and missing input signal conditions are detected and recorded. Remote control can be performed with a PC, a hand-held terminal, a VDU or using an external Modem, thus controlling the instrument through a telephone line. Stand-alone unattended long-term measurements can be carried out using the internal storage capability: data up to 100000 Pst (70 days) are then downloaded to a PC. The last two functions make B9-DSP a very suitable solution for Power Networks monitoring.
Data collected on the PC may be displayed and on-line analyzed or may be exported in standard formats for further processing. An integrated printer provides users with instant hard-copy documentary results. Two configurable analog outputs are available for each channel for visual monitoring of Flicker signals: in this way, for example, the output of the bell-shaped filter or the instantaneous flicker sensation as well as the relative voltage change characteristic d(t) may be observed in order to identify the disturbing source. Flicker signal is classified through two user selectable logarithmic scales. Pst, Plt, Percentiles, Pmax, CPF and "d" values are available; the CPFs of each observation may be also plotted for accurate analysis. An optional IEEE-488 interface allows its easy integration in a multi-instrument environment.
Self-checking functions grant measurements correctness. The "Alarm" option allows the use of B9-DSP as an active controlling instrument, to avoid an excessive flicker level in industrial plants: a user configurable algorithm is implemented and its output can be used to reduce the power delivered to the plant. The PC software provides also statistical functions on acquired Pst/Plt such as the commonly used Pst 95%. The instrument may be supplied with rack mounting brackets or with a comfortable handler for hand-held transportation. B9-DSP can be provided with a certificate of calibration released by a WECC accredited laboratory.
