UNIVERSAL MIRROR GONIOPHOTOMETER - Models 5700, 5800 & 5900

The Universal Mirror Goniophotometer delivers fast operation with accurate results no matter what type of lamp or luminaire you want to test.  State-of-the-art computer hardware, coupled with sophisticated data collection and analysis software, provide a fully automated test system suitable for use in government and commercial lighting laboratories or any other facility where precision photometry is critical.  The system is also ideally suited to the testing of automotive lighting devices.

The Universal Mirror Goniophotometer consists of four basic components: -

Mirror-Swing-Arm and Support Structure

This component holds the test luminaire or lamp during testing and includes the support tower, mirror, swing-arm and luminaire mounting fixtures.  The structure can be manufactured in several sizes depending on the maximum size of item to be tested.

Photo-detector Tower

A specially shielded unit houses the high sensitivity photocell used to obtain the photometric data.  The photo-detector is connected to specially designed "Signal Maximizer" circuits which automatically adjust the system sensitivity or gain settings to ensure the highest possible accuracy throughout the test.

Photometer Console

This unit contains all of the system's electric and electronic equipment including main power switches, test lamp voltage adjustment, motor controllers and computer interfaces.

Computer Station

An IBM or IBM compatible computer and the photometric software which control the operation and data collection functions of the Universal Mirror Goniophotometer during testing.
