WHOLE TREE CHIPPERS (MOUNTAIN GOAT)
Model
50/48 Mountain Goat
Designed for: Mobile chipping and reduction of whole trees, brush, tops, logging slash and land clearing debris.
Applications: For Right-of-way and pipeline clearing contractors, logging slash cleanup, fuel producers, land clearing contractors, mine and recreational development projects.
Capabilities: All terrain mobility takes this highly productive chipper to remote areas where it can chip whole trees as well as tangled brush and slash at rates up to and exceeding 100 tons per hour, depending on material. Can also set up in a stationary position to fill chip vans for fuel.
Benefits: The blend of Morbark's drum chipper design with Caterpillar 325L undercarriage is state-of-the-art in self-propelled chipping. A full 30 inches of ground clearance is the best on the market. Coupled with a good wide stance, this unit has the ability to handle grades other track machines will not. The additional of a skidder style blade gives extra versatility and helps hold steady when chipping on steep grades. On projects where chips can be broadcast back over the terrain, the Mountain Goat eliminates the need for skidding and forwarding material, reducing costs and manpower requirements.
